Bell foundry Somppi and Jussi's vineyard are located in Lapua surrounded by the beautiful Ostrobothnian scenery. The road next to the vineyard was a route used by the military troops in the 18th and 19th centuries. On this hill there used to be battles, which caused a lot of bloodshed.
We have revived an ancient and multiphase way of making bronze bells. All our bells are casted in sand and each bell is completely hand-made. There is also a variety of personalized business presents and prizes, wedding, engagement and birthday presents, door and dinner bells, mortars, horse harness and sleigh bells. You can also have text and nameplates, grave memorials, reliefs and bronze sculptures. The customer's wishes and specifications are taken into consideration when making these items.
The first berry wines of the vineyard were produced in 2002. All the wines are made from pure Finnish raw materials. In addition to rich and mellow wines made from black and white currants, our selection includes sweet apple and strawberry wines. Our speciality is the white/green currant wine.
They say that the old main building, which has now been restored to be a wine cottage named Jussin Tupa, used to serve as a liquor distillery in Haapakoski Lapua in the 19th century. After being moved to its present location, it first served as a tavern at the end of the 19th century.
You can now organize weddings, meetings and other events in the homey atmosphere of the restored wine cottage, which has room for 60 persons. By reservation You can also enjoy the traditional Ostrobothnian feast and coffee service or taste vineyards own products and other alcohol drinks. In the summer time Jussin Tupa has also nice terrace with 36 seats.
